28.09.2019

The Guitar Hero franchise is awesome. Being able to play some of your favourite rock songs and many other awesome rock songs and feel like you're a real guitarist, playing these songs. Not just the guitar but bass, vocals and drums you can play as well; play as a band with friends! I love this franchise to death. So I thought to myself how awesome it would be, if there was a guitar hero where you got to play your favourite opening and ending rock songs of anime; a Guitar Hero Anime!! Instead of pretending to be playing the guitar of these songs, you could be rocking along instead, or drumming away or singing away. With that in mind, I chose my personal Top 10 anime opening rock songs I would love to play, if there was such a thing as this!! Of course I mean play the full songs not the cut versions.

But what I've also done before my Top 10 list, is list some of my favourite rock opening songs, i would want to play, with the Top 10 being the ten I want to play the most. I have explained why I like the songs in the Top 10 list, so you know why I would want to play them.

I'll be making a Top 10 ending songs and tracks too. My Top 10 isn't ranked so whatever song is at what number, doesn't matter so I don't think number 6, is better than number 7 as an example!

I will delete childish comments that basically read 'Where's my picks!?' Let's rock:fist::smilingimp:List Before Top 10 List.

Air Gear Opening HDI like the mix of rap and rock, as it's a combination that flows so well and the best are the one's that have a gentle melody like this one. Mostly the song has this gentle melody and it sounds beautiful, with a hip hop backtrack and rapping that moulds together, to make this gentle rap verse I love. The chorus has that heavy rock that I like and still the rapping just fit's perfectly. It's why I love rap/rock music.

The follow up to the chorus is where the rock vocals come into play and they are awesome. I like that balance of high pitched vocals, where they don't sound squeaky but instead beautiful.:guitar: 09 ° Durarara OP 2 ∆ Complication by ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D. » Opening 2Like Chain by Back-On, this song has a gentle melody for it's verses and is amazing as ever. I like soft vocals as they get my attention; making me focus on a wonderful song such as this, giving me satisfaction to my ear drums.

Speaking of drums, I like the beat of the drums for the chorus, that snare hit backs up the vocals quite well. The chorus gives a sensation; mostly because of the vocals that makes me want to listen to more and repeat the song. I haven't seen the other season's of Durarara so I couldn't of chosen a song from them instead potentially (I like to hear opening songs by watching the anime).:guitar: 08 ° High School DxD OP ∆ Trip -innocent of D- by Larval Stage Planning. High School DXD OP Trip -innocent of D-In my opinion the best opening song for Highschool DxD, with season's 3 opening song being my second favourite for the anime.

It's the heavy riff of the guitar I like throughout this song as I rock out to it, especially with the beginning part. The vocals I like for their catchy flow that get me hooked like the beginning part of the song does.

I actually like the vocals more for the verses than I do the chorus, but that's just me! Even though I like the other opening songs, especially BorN's this one will always remain my favourite.

Unless if season 4 does come out and it has an opening song I like more than this one!:guitar: 07 ° Fate/stay night UBW OP 2 ∆ Brave Shine by Aimer. Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works (TV) 2nd Season - opening - polskie napisyTruly a masterpiece of a song in my opinion, the moment I heard this, it instantly became one of my favourite songs and Japanese songs. Well what can I write, that already hasn't been written about this song! It's epic and sort of a relaxing song. The chorus is the most beautiful part; the vocals are the beauty of it.

It gives me a feeling of relaxation, because when I listen to this song, I adore the amazing soft tempo of the well synced guitars, drums and vocals. I actually haven't even seen the anime, just only listened to this song. In fact the only fate anime I've seen is season 1 of Fate Zero.:guitar: 06 ° Highschool of the Dead OP ∆ Highschool of the Dead by Kishida Kyoudan & the Akeboshi Rockets. Highschool Of The Dead OpeningNow with this song, it's just so awesome. Like really awesome. I get instantly hooked as soon as I even hear this song. The vocals are alright, nothing too good in my opinion but the fit well with song that they make everything else, come together.

It's the guitars that are the best sounds of this song. That beginning part is one of my favourite rock song intro's because of it's intensity! Although actually with the vocals, they are amazing in the chorus, so much so that they are on par with the intro almost! Of course I'm rocking out to this song; rocking heavy for the intro. I pretend to play the guitar with my Guitar Hero controller too!:guitar: 05 ° Death Note OP 2 ∆ What's Up, People? By Maximum the Hormone.

Death Note (Opening 2) 1080p HDTruly better than the first opening song in my opinion and I think possibly one of my most favourite types of rock; that heavy metal you head bang to and co absolutely crazy. Boy oh boy do I love this song with a passion because it does just that.

I'm literally head head banging all the way through the song and pretending to play the guitar with my Guitar Hero controller! The heavy vocals, bass just heavy everything! It makes me enjoy myself so much and pumped up to the maximum. It's a fast paced heavy metal song too so I'm going crazy in my room just spinning my head around lol.:guitar: 04 ° Mnemosyne OP ∆ Alsatia by Galneryus.

Mnemosyne-ムネモシュネの娘たち-OPI really love the chorus lyrics to this song. I sing them every time because they are that catchy.

This song has the second best intro and riff for me, on this list. Truly an awesome riff that play's through the entire song having such a badass rhythm, that I head bang too and pretend to play the guitar to! Just wow like I couldn't even explain how much I like the heavy fast paced riff to this song. The vocals are also awesome, making the guitars stand out more and creating a song I like so much! I like rock songs like this, that get you instantly hooked and want to rock your socks off all night!:guitar: 03 ° Black Butler: Book of Circus OP ∆ Enamel by SID. Black butler book of circus opening 1 vostfrThe best opening song for Black Butler in my opinion. What I particularly love about this song is it's circus themed music, played at the beginning.

I just really like it haha. Now the guitar is really good in this song as it had that heavy riff I love so much! Again I'm rocking out to this song like the others because It's amazingly satisfying! The best part of the song I really like though, is actually the vocals. They are so catchy when it comes to the chorus, making it to be one of my favourites like every song on this list! I do like the soft verses with the circus themed music.:guitar: 02 ° One Punch Man OP ∆ THE HERO by JAM Project.

OnePunch-Man - First Opening / 1440 P 60 FPS /What a superbly awesome intro this song has. I sing it every time I hear it. In fact I sing along to this entire song because It's that awesome and catchy. I haven't seen the anime and I know I stated Inlike to hear opening songs by watching the anime, but it I heard this song unintentionally and it instantly became one of my favourites, so I just had to put it on the list! I mean the song has awesome vocals that are catchy and make me dance to it. The guitars don't shine that much in my opinion but they don't suck either. It's just mainly the vocals I like the most and I enjoy repeating this son over and over again!:guitar: 01 ° Deadman Wonderland OP ∆ One Reason by Fade.

Deadman Wonderland Opening HDI admit. Although I stated that this list is not ranked, this my favourite song on this list so that's why I put it at number 1, to prove it's my favourite! I'm obsessed with this song; by that I mean you couldn't change my mind to change it from my being my favourite opening song ever!

It has the best intro and riff on this list to me and I absolutely rock my socks off to this song. Not only the superb guitars but the vocals and lyrics are all balanced out; I didn't like one better than the other. That perfect match stimulates my ear drums that I could never forget about this awesome song!

Guitar Hero: Anime is a fan project dedicated to putting some of the greatest music anime has to offer into Guitar Hero, encompassing a series of high-quality notecharts based on anime-related music for use in rhythm music video games such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Frets on Fire, and their various portable iterations. Using several third-party programs, we take songs that we enjoy, research them to a certain degree, outline potential note sequences for them, then insert them into the game along with versions of the songs themselves modified specifically for Guitar Hero. The Violin Hero project is a fan project dedicated to bringing violins into the wonderful world of music rhythm games. This project is tied to the Guitar Hero: Anime project, and much of the music that will be featured with the Violin Hero concept will be music that would otherwise typically be associated with the Guitar Hero: Anime project.I've been charting songs for GH3 for a couple years now, and I've mostly stuck with anime music, though I have dabbled in western stuff every now and then. I'm hoping to expand the project in the future, though not by much at the moment. After a bit of a break, and thanks to the generous helpings of free time I'm granted over the summer, I've returned in force, and now I'm working with my QC and video editor Coco, dishing out custom charts we've long wanted to compose with a renewed sense of vigor.

We've already created 4 or 5 new songs within the last week, so I'm hoping we can keep this momentum. All of my works are listed below, including a list of works that I plan to attempt sometime in the future. I will soon commence distribution of the charts themselves for anyone who wants to use them in their copies of Guitar Hero.

Enjoy browsing for now, and look forward to playing these charts on your home consoles and computers in the near future!NOTE: This is not a general discussion thread for music rhythm games. Purachina ('Violin Hero' Concept)(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -What can I say? This is probably the only song that I can, with one hundred percent certainty, say is truly my favorite out of anything I've ever listened to. Lovely vocals, an inspiring melody that would probably fit perfectly in some Disney movie somewhere, a set of typical rock instruments accompanied by a wonderful set of strings, and hardly even touched by synth nonsense. What did that mean? That meant I had to put it into Guitar Hero. Only problem was there are barely any guitars in this song.So what did I do?

I played my guitar controller like a violin.- Chart Development -It was relatively easy to chart; only problem was that I knew next to nothing about playing violins or reading violin sheets. There are probably a lot of chords in the chart that don't exist in the actual song, but I can't realy tell just by ear. =/ In the future, I'd like to have a skilled or professional fiddler take a look at the chart and check it for accuracy, and maybe give me some techniques as to how I can better play a squeaky Fisher Price plastic violin.

By then I'll probably end up redoing the entire thing, so hope for an improved Purachina 2.0 in the future!- About Development -This is my first ever chart of a violin song. I've wanted to chart Purachina for a long time now, since it's one of my favorite songs ever, but the guitars are so quiet that I can barely hear them. I thought about doing the bass, but that just didn't seem like as much fun (though I probably WILL do a bass chart for co-op mode in the future). So I left the plans and never came back to them. Then I stumbled upon what I can only describe as an epic display of musical nerdiness in the form of DrParkMD517's 'Violin Hero - Dragon Force Expert' video, where he apparently wrapped several pieces of duct tape around a real violin bow and used it to move the strumbar.

I wanted to try the same, except with a song that had real violins in it, to see how well I could truly emulate the Fake Fiddle Fantasy. One thing that did bother me about DrPark's makeshift violin controller was that you couldn't actually play a long note on it like you could a real violin, continuing to draw the bow across the strings for the duration of the note. Its range was limited to the like 5 centimeters that the strum bar could move. So I decided to make my bow a little differently.Since I did not have a real bow or violin like DrPark, I ended up rifling through my kitchen drawers and came across what appeared to be an abnormally long chopstick (friend tells me it's a 'dowel'). I then took about 6 inches of duct tape and wrapped it around the kitchen utensil so that it covered about 3 or 4 inches. I made it tight enough so that the strumbar could be affected by the force I was applying, but loose enough so that the dower could slide around within the duct tape cylinder. I used this as my makeshift bow. Most likely, one would be able to easily do the same thing with a real violin bow by wrapping the duct tape around the hairs of the bow, though I have no idea since I don't own a real bow.I ended up choosing the Rock Band 2 Stratocaster as my improvised violin, particularly due to the distance of the solo frets from the guitar body and the looseness of the strumbar.

I'll probably give the GH3 Gibson Les Paul a shot in the future, since the body of the guitar surrounding the strumbar is much less wide, and will hopefully give my bow a little more vertical leeway.Note there's no way for the game to actually enforce whether you're drawing the bow (abnormally long chopstick) across the string (strumbar) or not.- Difficulty -Play it as a guitar chart and it's not so tough. Play it like a violin with no prior violin experience and it's a pain. But still fun!.

Ki Ni Naru Aitsu(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -To this day, Card Captor Sakura remains my absolute favorite anime. I was completely dead set on finding a way to incorporate it into Guitar Hero somehow. Going through all the (absolutely ADORABLE) songs on the different vocal collections, I eventually settled on the catchy Ki Ni Naru Aitsu, as it was the most plot-relevant song I could find that had a lot of guitar; I also wanted to do something with classic guitars. Ki Ni Naru Aitsu, performed by Syaoran Li's voice actor Motoko Kumai, was played as an insert in the anime while the group made a trip to a teddy bear exhibit, about Syaoran admiring Sakura from afar.- Chart Development -This was a relatively easy song to chart, and it remains pretty much the same as it did since I first charted it. Song Description -To me, this track represents all that is the Death Note. A complex tool capable of incredible destruction and unspeakable evil, one that forces its holder through great trials and tribulations.

It is the defining piece of the Death Note anime.- Chart Development -This one was easier to chart, but it's inaccurate due to the limitations in the GH3 gameplay mechanics. I found myself desperately wishing that I could have that feature from World Tour and 5 that lets you play notes while sustaining other notes. I also wish I could make hammer-ons manually, but noo. Because I can't, the chart's not entirely accurate, especially in the second half of the song.- About Development -This is my 22nd chart.- Difficulty -★★☆☆☆ - Easy. Light's ThemeVideo coming soon! Check back for updates!More info. Song Description -There's something about this piece that feels like it echoes the laughter and the desperation of Light's struggle for world domination that really tugs at you, and I feel like there would have been no better choice to compose the series' soundtrack than Taniguchi.

It felt like a must-chart for Guitar Hero.- Chart Development -As expected of a song that comes from the original score rather than the soundtrack, there were absolutely no tabs available anywhere on the net. The entire song was done by ear, and it was relatively easy due to the great amount of repetition in the notes. Most of my work was done after I had charted a few measures; the rest was just copy-pasting the notes several times and making sure the BPM remained steady.- About Development -This chart was the second in a series of songs that I charted from Death Note's original score.

It was relatively easy to chart, and was charted during a cruise to Mexico.Editing the music to fit my version 1 release standard also took some time, since there were parts where the guitars would play from different channels in the stereo output. The power chords would dominate the center channel, and the single quarter-note sequences were off to the left and right sides.

I constantly had to make each track swap channels in order to isolate where the guitars were coming from. The effect it has on the music is noticeable if you enter practice mode with the song. L's Theme(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info.

Song Description -Ah, the venerable L. Such a great mind and a unique personality deserves nothing less than the composing talents of Hideki Taniguchi to create a leitmotif that turns the clockwork sounds of a genius mind at work into a melody. This unique theme appears several times throughout the course of the series run and does a great job of creating the image of L hard at work figuring out a case.- Chart Development -As expected of a song that comes from the original score rather than the soundtrack, there were absolutely no tabs available anywhere on the net. The entire song was done by ear, and it was relatively easy due to the great amount of repetition in the notes.

Most of my work was done after I had charted a few measures; the rest was just copy-pasting the notes several times and making sure the BPM remained steady.I tried to keep most of the single quarter-note sequences within four frets, since there were sections that fell a couple notes. All in all, there was very little variety in the song.- About Development -This chart was the first in a series of songs that I charted from Death Note's original score. It was relatively easy to make, but Christ, what the hell is with the timescale here?! Each measure alternates between 6.5 and 7 beats long (try counting the beats with your fingers before the measure resets), and for a while I was completely clueless on how to fit it into the anchors. Eventually I settled on making it so that all the quarter-note segments would just have a 2/4 scale, even though that is totally wrong, but whatever, it technically allowed me enough room to set an anchor each time it flipped to the power chords.Editing the music to fit my version 1 release standard also took some time, since there were parts where the guitars would play from different channels in the stereo output. The power chords would dominate the center channel, and the single quarter-note sequences were off to the left and right sides. I constantly had to make each track swap channels in order to isolate where the guitars were coming from.

The effect it has on the music is noticable if you enter practice mode with the song. L's Theme B(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info.

Song Description -Probably one of my favorite songs of all time, with probably the coolest ending solos I've ever heard in anime-related music, this is 'God Knows' as performed by Japanese idol Aya Hirano and featured in everyone's favorite animu, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. In epsiode 12 of the anime, main character Haruhi and her fellow club member Yuki perform this song on stage as stand-ins for two missing band members of the band ENOZ during the North High cultural festival's talent show. Probably regarded as one of the best scenes of the series, and hell, probably one of the best animated in all anime to boot, God Knows is widely recognized by Haruhiists and Aya Hirano fans alike.- Chart Development -In charting the song, I listened to the karaoke version and went over various fan-made tablatures of this song in an attempt to recreate the notes with unerring accuracy.

Unfortunately, that didn't work out so well, as much of the tablature was quite clearly incorrect and the karaoke still had harmony voices in the background, which drowned out the guitars enough for me to not be able to tap them in by ear (since I obviously have no masters to work with). Aside from a few minor tune-ups that need to be made, the solos are almost completely correct, as well as the verses. The choruses, however, need a LOT of work, but before that happens, AYA HIRANO NEEDS TO KEEP IT DOWN. Damn harmony vocals- About Development -This is my third GH3 custom. Initially I was inspired to do this after looking up 'Guitar Hero' and 'God Knows' on YouTube, and got 2 hits both featuring wildly and quite infuriatingly inaccurate charts. I created this chart while on a 6-hour drive from Orange County to Mammoth Mountain (northern California). It took me about 4 hours to create the initial version, and another hour was spent testing (much to the dismay of other passengers; a GH3 controller's strumbar is a LOT louder in a closed space like a car). This chart has been revised to my version 1 release standard.- Difficulty -I'd rank it 5/5.

The song is quite tough. There are lots of sets of triple alternating notes and a particularly entertaining closing solo that make this song an enjoyable challenge. God Knows. (Metal)(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -I first heard this song at the request of a YouTube user 'wanderingslacker' about 3 months ago, and I was taken aback. Just listening to it a couple of times over, I was impressed.

In terms of compositional quality, this was a fantastic cover.- Chart Development -I attempted twice to chart this, and ended up tearing out patches of my hair as a result; it didn't feel like I could get it working in any plausible way; it was too difficult. So instead, I took what I had and went to Coco and asked her to see if she could fill in the blanks. She ended up redoing the majority of the chart from scratch, and this is the final result. While I am the one playing it, it's pretty safe to say that this isn't even my chart anymore; rather, it's hers, and for what is pretty much her first chart, it looks positively superb.Coco hasn't written anything about chart development yet, so I'll leave the rest of this spot open for now.- About Development -This is Coco's first chart, and the 17th Guitar Hero: Anime chart.Coco hasn't written anything about chart development yet, so I'll leave this spot open for now.- Difficulty -☠☠☠☠☠ - InsaneThis is an insanely difficult, and yet also insanely fun song. It's got tons of variety and more than enough insanity to keep you on your toes. It makes no compromises whatsoever for ease of performance.

This is without question the most difficult song in the GHA repertoire. Super Driver(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -I'm surprised by how relatively non-spaztastic this song was considering this IS Haruhi, after all. It certainly has Aya Hirano's perchance for some amazing Engrish moments, but aside from that, it's tame compared to the typical Haruhi stuff we get.- Chart Development -This was actually pretty easy to chart.

I ran into no difficulties at all, and nothing particularly special happened. This is getting easy.- About Development -This is my 18th chart.- Difficulty -★★★☆☆ - ModerateK-On!. Cagayake! Girls (5-man)(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -My need to chart this song was like an itch that wouldn't go away until I was done. And I'm glad I itched, because I had a helluva lot of fun charting and playing this fast-paced, energetic, happy-go-lucky piece. K-On Banzai!!The 5-man version of this song includes Azusa's guitar parts. This isn't entirely apparent until you get to the second verse and the bridge.- Chart Development -I really enjoyed charting this song.

It took me about 4 hours to chart it from beginning to end (with hours and hours of polish afterwards). I don't know why I had so much fun charting this. Due to its enormous popularity, tabs were more readily available for this song too, so I used them as reference, as well as several fan covers just so I can figure out what other peoples' opinions were. In the end I decided to do a mix of by-ear and by-reference notes.

The guitars were pretty easy to isolate in this song, so it was pretty easy to put together properly. There are still some parts I know for absolute sure need fixing, but I'll get around to them eventually. This is the first time I've actually let anyone else lay a hand in the development of my charts. My new chart editor (and also the one who made the standard and branding for all my videos) is 'Coco', her nickname. At her request, I won't go into more detail than that, but if you know her, then yay! She went in and nitpicked about a few mistakes I've made, some of which I have yet to fix.

I'll point them out in the annotations. She's also edited all of my videos for me. And designed the logos. And encoded them. And did the cool zoomy album art thing at the beginning of each video.

Among other things.- About Development -God, I really have no idea what motivated me to chart this. I really don't.

I just decided after like episode 9 or so of K-On that I wanted to chart it. This is my 13th ever Guitar Hero chart, and I did it over the summer during the GHA revamp of my series of charts.- Updates -July 09, 2009: This chart was QC'd by Coco.September 27, 2009: Recharted for the 5-man version of the song.- Difficulty -★★★★☆ - ChallengingPretty rough. Not nastily impossible, but there are some parts that are just mean. Fuwa Fuwa Time(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -This is probably my favorite song from K-On. It's got a very catchy melody, doesn't use too much synth, and features Mio as the vocalist. Guess what that means?

Guitar Hero Anime.- Chart Development -Didn't run into any particular difficulties with this chart.- About Development -This is my 21st chart.- Difficulty -★★★★☆ - ChallengingOuran High School Host Club. Shissou(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -Ouran High School Host Club was, officially, the 5th anime obsession I got into. One of the reasons why is most definitely Shissou, the anime's energetic ending theme for the entire run of the series.

I became a huge fan of Last Alliance from watching this anime, and I've listened to this song so many times I've lost count. Song Description -Like much of the other music from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, 'Sora Iro Days' as performed by Shoko Nakagawa is a great way to get your blood boiling. It's like an anthem of justice made of pure epic win.- Chart Development -The entire song was charted by ear. The first time I charted it, I had no idea what I was doing, so my first chart was plagued with inaccuracies. I've since touched it up, and I feel more confident about this release, though I know there are still some glaring errors that any real musician will notice immediately without fail.- About Development -This is my first GH3 custom.

Creating the note chart took me four hours, and it was done on a typical school night. Yay.This chart has been revised to my version 1 release standard.- Difficulty -This song is somewhat difficult. There are some tricky solos in the second half of the song, but an experienced Guitar Hero player can complete it without too much trouble.

And if it's a song I love, it has to go into Guitar Hero.- Chart Development -It took me about an hour to chart, and I haven't spent much time refining it either. I've gotten better at this.:DNote: Coco QC'd and modified this chart.- About Development -This is my 14th chart, my 2nd Violin Hero concept chart, and the first in a short series of Zelda-related violin charts.- Difficulty -The second most difficult Zelda track I've made.

Song Description -A lot of Zelda players will recognize this as one of the first area themes that they heard in the game. Most gamers spent around an hour in Kokiri Forest, and I think they can agree that this chirpy melody helped truly bring it to life. In string quartet form it's lovely.- Chart Development -Again, another short hour or two to chart.Note: Coco QC'd and modified this chart.- About Development -This is my 15th chart, my 3rd Violin Hero concept chart, and the second in a short series of Zelda-related violin charts.- Difficulty -The most difficult Zelda track I've made. 'Princess Zelda' (Violin) - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time('Violin Hero' Concept)(leads to the official YouTube website; open it in a tab or a new window!)More info. Song Description -This is, by far, the best melody I have ever heard out of any Zelda anything ever in existence ever forever ever.

I simply adore Zelda's theme. Song Description -I first heard this lovely song after watching Koopiskeva's music video, Momentum, for 5 Centimeters Per Second. I've never listened to anything else by Mae, though.- Chart Development -The song wasn't too complicated to do anything with, and required little effort.- About Development -Due to the song's relative simplicity, I decided to incorporate the piano parts into the guitar track, but I DO find myself wishing that I can make all of the piano parts hammer-ons, to more realistically mimick piano-playing. Though I can't say I'm a fan of how GH3 handles hammer-ons, it would have been nice. I'm pretty sure it's possible, but I haven't heard any news from anyone about it yet. Until then, I've made a personal work around, as shown in the video: I connected my Rock Band 2 guitar to my computer and used a program called Xpadder to map out the buttons to certain keys on the keyboard. I mapped the solo fret buttons to hold down a fret key AND the strum key at the same time when I pressed the button, so that all I needed to do was use my right hand to play those frets like I would a piano.

It works mighty well. And yes, the footage of the game and the footage of me using Rock Band 2 guitar are indeed separate play sessions. I didn't want to rerecord the gameplay, it's way too much work.Planned/In ProgressAngelic LayerAme Agari ( After the Rain)by Maeko Matsushita, 2001Angelic Layer OST (Vol. 2)Card Captor SakuraHitorijime ( All To Myself)by Kami Hirose, 1999Card Captor Sakura OP 1 'Catch You Catch Me' SingleChrono CrusadeTsubasa wa Pleasure Lineby Minami Kuribayashi, 2004Chrono Crusade OP 1 'Tsubasa wa Pleasure Line' SingleFullmetal AlchemistRewriteby Asian Kung-Fu GenerationFull Metal Alchemist OST (Vol. 3)The Melancholy of Haruhi SuzumiyaLost My Musicby Aya Hirano (as Haruhi Suzumiya), 2006Suzumiya Haruhi no TsumeawaseNoirKirei na Kanjou ( Sweet Emotions)by Arai AkinoSuzumiya Haruhi no TsumeawaseTengen Toppa Gurren LagannNikopol ( City of Victory)by qadtbep, 2007Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann OST (Vol. 2)Tsubasa ChroniclesLoopby Maya Sakamoto, 2005Tsubasa Chronicle ED 1 'Loop' SingleWesternNo Cigarby Millencolin, 1999Pennybridge PioneersFAQQ: What games do you support?A: These customs were designed to work in the following games:.

Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero 2.

Guitar Hero: Rocks the 80's. Guitar Hero 3. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. This is our primary development platform. Dozer said:How about putting in the Trigun OP?All requests, complaints and submissions are to be made in writing to the Czerka company offices on Coruscant.

Business hours only, please.(I'll think about it. For now, here's the official response)Q: Can you make a chart for this song or that song?A: It really depends on the song. Sometimes I take requests (L's Theme was a request, for instance), and sometimes I don't. I don't typically chart songs that I don't like, so you're kinda flipping a coin with me when you ask me to chart a certain song. And no, I do not take commissions.EDIT: I found a quality chart made by a user named 'pbfpfoss'. Here's a link to someone playing his chart.

Looking at it, the chart is solid; there really isn't much I would do differently. If you want, I can go find the chart, download it, and perform it in GH3, then put up a higher quality recording, but considering there's already a good chart of the song, it's unlikely I'll attempt to top it. Ever17 said:I really like the God Knows one, at least the first part. As someone who used to play a couple instruments Guitar Hero always hurt my eyes to see so many different sounds just matched to five buttons, but that first part was rather cool.Heh, I feel your pain.

Someday in the near future, guitar controllers with 13 x 6 fret buttons and 6 strumbars.Though honestly, I have to say, God Knows is by far one of my lowest quality charts, purely for the fact that I can't tell what's going on during the chorus very well at all. Aya Hirano's backup vocals pretty much obscure 80% of the guitar playing. Most of the tabs I've found either cover the singer or cover the rhythm guitar, but I can tell the lead guitar is doing something that neither of them are doing.I'm proud of the ending solo though.:D. Esley said:Question: where & how I get this into my GH? (GHIII PC)It's a good thing you have the PC version, because it's much easier to do so.The importing process is done on a song-by-song basis. You normally use a third party program called Guitar Hero Three Control Panel to modify your game files.

GHTPC is a powerful tool that automates all of the conversions necessary to place a custom song in the game. It takes a bit of learning to figure out, but the guide is very comprehensive. For the time, you can familiarize yourself with the program and try uploading some charts by other authors (many of which can be found here: ). Good luck, and have fun!Note: At this point, I have yet to release MY work to the internet. I'm still figuring out some shizazz so I'll get it uploaded in due time, but until then, this is basically just a preview thread of my work. KhalReblic23 said:I see that you're eventually going to expand to Rock Band.

I personally like the feel of the Rock Band equipment better myself anyway.Other than the drumset, I agree wholeheartedly. I like them so much better that I actually use a workaround that lets me use my Rock Band 2 instruments with Guitar Hero 3. In a two of my videos, Purachina and Awakening, you can actually see me using the RB2 Fender Stratocaster.

The solo buttons are pretty versatile for alternate styles of play.WARNING: PERSONAL RANT.It's also another one of my personal preferences, but I find the mature, classic-rock art style in Rock Band far more attractive than the cartoony, Tony Hawk-esque one in Guitar Hero. I like how everything in Rock Band tries to make you a part of the experience, like the realistically proportioned and decorated guitar controllers, sophisticated menu designs, and even character animations and camera angles during the performance. Guitar Hero to me feels like a toy. Rock Band, on the other hand, feels like an experience, a celebration of music in and of itself. You can also make sense of the developers' attitudes when they make band-specific spinoffs.

Take The Beatles: Rock Band, for instance. Just watching the trailers, you can tell that the development team for Rock Band cares very much about catering to Beatles fans, by being as true to the experience as possible, and even creating scenery and stages that truly tie into the song being played while representing the visual style of that era (just look at the excerpts of the in-game performances of Octopus's Garden and I am the Walrus). It looks like a bloody music video, for Chrissakes. That's just one thing (a major thing at that), but you can see this dedication everywhere else in the game, even with things that up front seem so small and insignificant, like the name of the game. They don't put Rock Band first. They put The Beatles first.

The game isn't about the game. It's about The Beatles. Did you see that dedication or even that same level of fanservice in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith?

Or in the recently-released Metallica? I can't truly say so.Gameplay-wise though, they're both fun, and I have to admit, I still wish Rock Band would innovate more with the music rhythm genre like Guitar Hero does (with neat features like its custom music creator and such). But hell, maybe they innovated enough by introducing the concept of a full band game in the first place. In the end, only Rock Band can truly draw me into the experience.End rant.I am absolutely dead set on getting these charts working with Rock Band. If they make a PC version of the game, or if they come up with a way to make it easy and convenient to modify the console version of the game, I will be there to make it happen.I would like to note that as of now, the charts DO work to a limited extent in Rock Band, but are not optimized for it; there are various glitches. The most obvious of which is that Rock Band interprets Star Power phrases as solos instead of Overdrive phrases.

That's just bad. KhalReblic23 said:What I wanted to ask was, are any of these (Guitar Hero and in the future Rock Band) playable/installable to the console versions? I would think on the playstation 3 there may be a way to emulate the installer (much like DLC works).Well I don't know much about it but just thought I'd ask and see if that's on your plate yet =)Yes, it's definitely possible, and people actually do it all the time. The only difference is that it's far more inconvenient, and far more costly. In fact, I'm not even sure if it's possible on the PS3, but it definitely is for the Wii, PS2 and 360 versions, or any version on a console that's modifiable. That's the key word: modifiable. You have to mod your console to accept backup copies of games.

The console modding community surrounding the PS3 isn't as far ahead as it is with the other consoles, especially since Blu-Ray DVD burners and burnable Blu-Ray discs are much more expensive.See, the reason why it's so convenient for a PC copy of the game is because importing the songs into the game requires modifying the game files and some of its code. Since the files are right there and easily accessible on a computer's hard drive, it's a piece of cake. But consoles don't install data onto a hard drive like computers do; they read all of the data directly off of the DVD in the drive. You can see now why it's more of a problem. The process of modifying the game data mainly works like this. Put your copy of the game into your computer. Rip all of the data off of it onto your hard drive. Then, use Guitar Hero 3 Control Panel on your PC to modify that data and import your custom charts into the game data as necessary.

After that is done, burn your newly modified game data to a DVD, then put the DVD inside your modified console, and you're set.The problem is, you can't afford to be careless, and if you are careless, you also have to have an extraordinarily large amount of patience. If you make a mistake burning the DVD or importing the songs and it ends up not working when you actually try to play it, or if you make a mistake, you have to burn another DVD after having fixed the issues. Even if you didn't make any mistakes, each time you want to add another song, or another set of songs, or change even a single tiny thing about how they're configured, you have to burn another DVD. That's where the true inconvenience lies; the need to burn the game onto a new DVD after every change you make. You can't just import the songs, make a mistake, exit out of the game, fix it, then play again, like you can on the PC version. If you're patient, have a large amount of fresh DVD's, and own a modified console able to accept non-retail versions of games, then it's definitely possible, and not very difficult at all; just time-consuming.
