Hi all,I used to use Primal Form Community Edition (which was very good, but not very efficient), and since the download link is no longer available, I asked the reddit community if anyone still has a copy, but somewhat the Mod has removed the link and called it pirated software.There are two recent post I have found:A video demonstrating a GUI created in VS, and you can change the code within VS.( from )But another post showing how to create a GUI in VS, then removing a couple line of codes then carrying on working in ISE. Which I found is more tedious than using Primal Form CE.( from )So my question is, are these two things from above are the same thing?
Or completely different? Forgive me, as I have not used VS before in my life. I just wanted to create GUI easily in one software and and change the code within the same software. Sapien's PowerShell Studio is the defacto std for GUI design with PowerShell behind the scenes. Its a paid product with a less steep, but still steep price tag as compared to VS. Posh Tools, the first link comes in two flavors as of last week.
The original add-in, by Adam Driscoll, for paid versions and the 2015 community version of VS and an official MS version. This simply adds PowerShell support to visual studio. Ultimately PowerShell is built to be a command line/scripting language, they've not done a great job of supporting GUI development. There really isn't a great no/low cost solution, unless you can do it with the VS Community Ed.
