I have recently bought a Mac Book Pro and have installed Deep Shredder 12 on it. I really like the program but was wonder when you analyise a game it is entirley different to what i have been getting with Fritz 12.
Fritz 12 gives you plain english talk about the game and tells you where you went wrong etc. The Deep Shredder only gives you a print out with eg:1.e4 +0.30/8 os e5 +0.13/9 0sNow this means whites 1st move was worth 0.30 pawns and it was a 8 ply search and took 0secs. This is for the whole game and it does give you different variations and lines for the whole game but is there a way to get plain english???

I own Chessimo. I did the 1st 7 or 8 modules and then stopped. @davidegpcOf all tactics training softwares, CHESSIMO is my favorite. The creators really know what they're doing because of these important keys: Fast interface, Time pressure, pattern recognition by repetition, and most importantly addictive so you keep on going.@dannyhumeChessimo Strategy modules are very basic but still worth the time. But the endgame module is where you will get more benefit.Then again, I don't play real games too often so I can't say how much strength I gained OTB though I manage to apply some short tactics from time to time and it feels so satisfying!:). Strategy:I just finished all the Chessimo strategy modules (as many as it would allow me, had some bugs). It was very nice, doubt it will have much immediate impact upon my game, but it is nice to think of reasons to move a chessman when there is no obvious tactic and then GM Milos has a sentence or 2 about why his move is best, even if it is not 2800-level analysis.
